Dating back over 1,000 years ago, Belted Galloways are the original gourmet beef breed. They convert forage and grass into delicious, tender beef. Pasture raised beef has higher Omega 3's and has been shown to help lower "bad" fatty acids, cholesterol, and triglycerides. All Birch Creek Farmery cattle are born, raised, and finished on grass here in our pastures without any antibiotics, steroids, or hormones. Because they are fully on pasture, the ground beef is rich in color and lean in fat. Pasture raised beef also has higher amounts of nutrients, fights heart disease with lower levels of saturated fats, and lowers the risk of cancer with conjugated linoleic acid (CLAs).
